Firmware & Updates

SAMPATHI 1 is shipped with Betaflight firmware pre-installed and tested.
You do not need to build firmware or perform any low-level steps to begin using the FCU.

Factory Firmware​

Every SAMPATHI 1 unit ships with:

  • Official SAMPATHI 1 Betaflight firmware
  • Verified basic functionality before dispatch

The firmware version installed at the factory is suitable for first-time setup and flight configuration.

Firmware Updates​

When a newer Betaflight version is released:

  • A validated SAMPATHI 1 firmware build will be made available on the official website
  • Only firmware provided on the SAMPATHI 1 product page should be used

⚠️ Do not flash generic firmware builds intended for other flight controllers.

Updating Firmware Using Betaflight Configurator​

To update firmware:

  • Download the latest SAMPATHI 1 firmware file from the official website
  • Open Betaflight Configurator
  • Connect SAMPATHI 1 to your computer via USB
  • Open the Firmware Flasher tab
  • Select Load Firmware (Local)
  • Choose the downloaded firmware file
  • Click Flash Firmware

Wait until the flashing process completes and the FCU reboots.

If Firmware Update Fails​

If flashing does not complete successfully:

  • Disconnect USB
  • Reconnect USB
  • Re-open Betaflight Configurator
  • Retry the flashing process

ℹ️ If the FCU still does not connect, refer to the Troubleshooting section later in this guide.

Firmware Support Policy​

  • Only firmware releases published for SAMPATHI 1 are supported
  • Community or modified builds are not supported
  • Firmware updates are optional but recommended for bug fixes and improvements
