Before You Begin

Before powering or connecting SAMPATHI 1, please read this section carefully to ensure a safe and smooth setup process.

What You Need​

To get started with SAMPATHI 1, you will need the following:

Required​

  • A computer (Windows / macOS / Linux)
  • USB cable (USB-C or Micro-USB, depending on hardware revision)
  • Betaflight Configurator (latest stable version)

Drone Components​

  • ESCs and motors
  • Receiver (ELRS, SBUS, CRSF, etc.)
  • Battery (within supported voltage range)

Optional Accessories​

  • Digital video unit
  • GPS module
  • SD card (if supported by the selected firmware configuration)

Skill Level Expectations​

SAMPATHI 1 is not a plug-and-play toy controller.

You should be comfortable with:

  • Basic drone wiring
  • Using Betaflight Configurator
  • Understanding motor testing and flight safety procedures

If you are completely new to FPV drones, it is strongly recommended that you first learn basic Betaflight concepts before proceeding with this documentation.

Safety Notice (Important)​

⚠️ Always remove propellers before configuration or testing.

Incorrect wiring or configuration may result in:

  • Sudden motor spin-up
  • Permanent damage to components
  • Risk of personal injury

Never power the FCU from USB while servos or high-current peripherals are connected.

Failure to follow these precautions may result in hardware damage or unsafe operating conditions.
