Digital Video System Setup
SAMPATHI 1 is designed for digital FPV systems and does not support analog video or analog OSD.
Supported Digital Video Systems
SAMPATHI 1 supports digital FPV systems that integrate with Betaflight via serial communication.
Common features include:
- Digital video transmission
- On-screen display via digital link
- Camera menu access through Betaflight
Connecting the Digital Video Unit
- Connect the digital video unit to the dedicated connector on SAMPATHI 1
- Use only the provided regulated power output intended for digital video
- Ensure ground connections are secure
⚠️ Do not power the digital video unit from USB.
Power Considerations
- Digital video units draw higher current than standard peripherals
- Ensure your battery and power wiring are adequate
- Avoid powering additional devices from the same rail unless specified
Betaflight Configuration for Digital Video
- Open the Ports tab in Betaflight
- Enable MSP on the designated UART for the digital video system
- Save and reboot
Once enabled:
- On-screen display information will be transmitted digitally
- Camera menus can be accessed using transmitter inputs
Camera Menu and OSD (Digital)
- Betaflight OSD elements are sent digitally to the video system
- Menu navigation is performed using transmitter stick commands
- No analog OSD configuration is required
Common Digital Video Issues
- No video feed:
- Check power to the video unit
- Verify MSP is enabled
- OSD not visible:
- Confirm Betaflight OSD elements are enabled
- Confirm correct UART selection
